EXHIBITION IN BRITTANY AT THE CHAPEL OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
I was invited to exhibit in the French region where I grew up, a rare opportunity that I couldn't miss. The edifice dates back to the Order of the Templars, and 800 years of everyday life still echo through the stone chambers... Hard to resist!
Never before had I exhibited in a space where darkness was celebrated and used in such a haunting way to exhibit artworks. The exhibition was ambitious in its scenography, and matter appeared in a very different light. For my part, this was the perfect event to showcase my latest piece entitled “Wonder Where We Land”. Here, the piece was given the opportunity to perform, to be overly dramatic, presenting its creator with endless surprises!
The Ghost matter effect par excellence!
Below, two interesting photos I took in my studio whilst experimenting with light on this latest piece entitled "Wonder Where We Land". A powerful source of light can suddenly take you on a different journey altogether!
I was far from imagining the endless panoply of shadow combinations this piece would offer once hit by a light source, placed in a semi-dark room or on the contrary, placed in a very sunny space.
The Ghost matter spectrum was surprisingly much wider than I had anticipated.
I love when a piece never ceases to surprise me!
When light reveals the unexpected!
