WHITE GARDEN - GHOST MATTER

Introducing my latest work “White Garden-Ghost Matter”, a kinetic exploration using the achromatic colour and the thousands of variations it offers!

“White Garden - Ghost Matter” is the result of my contemplation for light and its dominance over matter and the marriage of the two, the shadows. 

They manifest and vanish depending on the angle of the light and acquire their dynamism and energy from a critical interaction with the viewer.

Shadows exist because there is light. Given just enough light, however, shadows can shrink, fade, flutter and almost vanish. Surround an object at every angle with enough light, and the shadows have nowhere to fall; nowhere to exist.

When the light source involves natural light, the shadows react like a sundial throughout the day. When natural light is introduced to create shadows into your work, you introduce a wild card, the piece is never the same, perpetually evolving, morphing and that is the beauty of it.

When there is shadow, there is light.
